Dr. Cappello Lectures At UPENN On Dense Breast Tissue & Advocacy Efforts

Dr. Cappello Lectures at UPENN 

Dr. Cappello's lecture was entitled, "Breast Cancer UNawareness: The Impact of Dense Breast Tissue on Missed, Delayed, and Advanced Cancers.  Dr. Despina Kontos, PENN researcher, met Dr. Cappello at the University of California-San Francisco last May when Dr. Cappello lectured at a research conference on Dense Breast Tissue and Risk.  Dr. Kontos invited Dr. Cappello to PENN to lecture to scientists, physicians, doctoral and medical students. 

Joining Dr. Cappello was Pennsylvania Activist, Cindy Spinello, who with her husband Greg, advocated for PA Breast Density Reporting Bill.  The law was signed by the PA Governor in November, 2013. 

Dr. Emily Conant, Professor and Chief, Division of Breast Imaging at PENN, joined Dr. Cappello on Good Day Philly discussing the importance of dense breast tissue on breast health. View Fox Video
