State density bills continue to grow & Federal Bill Introduced in Both House & Senate
A patient advocacy movement started in Connecticut in 2009 to give women the same information their docs have about THEIR dense breast tissue. Inspired by patient Nancy M. Cappello, Ph.D., her desire was and continues to ensure that no woman suffers the tragedy of a late stage diagnosis, despite have faithful yearly mammograms. A grassroots advocacy movement was born as state legislative champions protect the safety of its citizens.
In addition to state by state legislative efforts, Are You Dense Advocacy Inc. and its DC team have worked tirelessly for the reintroduction of the Federal Density Reporting Act in US Congress. The bill was introduced on October 25, 2017. Take 3 minutes to lend your voice to the bill, go to Federal Bill Advocacy.
